The wool is made by the modifier Hair And Fur,
do not forget to change the “buffer” to “mr prim” in Render / Effects in Hairs.

Hair And Fur is configured for close angles,
for the distant ones that would reduce the render time, you can lower the value of Hair Count,
Hair Segments, Hair Passes in the roll of General Parameters,
In the Material Parameters rollout, uncheck Tip Fade,
on those angles where the model does not fall into the frame, turn off the Hair And Fur modifier

file FBX without wool,
Screen with the settings of the wool you will find in the archive
for 3DsMax and FBX files, separate material libraries

all paths to textures are deleted,
the grid is quadrangular,
units of measurement are millimeters (for Hair And Fur units of measurement are especially important).
