Elvira is a professional pantomime actress who performs in passion plays of Commedia Dell' Arte. She stems from a family of Italian Academy actors who were the first to portray the Zanni characters.

Following the tradition of the New Comedy, Elvira loves to portray different masked stock characters. However, her favorite Zanni is Arlecchino (Harlequin), the famous astute servant and trickster. Her well-rehearsed lazzi and concetti (jokes & physical acts) are clever, witty and very acrobatic. For her performances as masked character (maschere) she wears special stage make up with traditional and modern checkered Harlequin motives.
